I reviewed the new Liars album in the September issue of Spin. For readers that are not writers, I want to stress how hard it is to compose a decent 90-word review, if “decent” is in fact what I managed. It’s an art I have yet to master.
Writing short is cake.
See? I did it. And without once using the word transcendent.
Yeah, I seem to have problems in the 2000 word area because I always go over. I could probably review that new Liars in about 40 words, and get the same effect as the thousand or so I shed for Dusted. Bad records are easy targets and make for fun reviews.
What I’m saying is I’d like your job(s), now.
