Yes, yes…I already made note of Robert Christgau’s dual-purpose essay on the two existing Husker Du-related books (I wrote one of them), but THAT WAS THE ONLINE VERSION! There’s something rather magical about a shitty Sunday being turned around by seeing my name, and my book’s name, and the gentle lashing that my book received…all staring back at me from a physical page in The New York Times Book Review. You know that irritating adage about any and all publicity serving as good publicity? Well, that one rings true this time.
